POLITICS in Southwest & Nigeria today will not be complete if the names of some prominent top politicians are not mentioned.  Going back in era of great politicians from Southwest,names like Late Sir Obafemi Awolowo, Late Pa Ladoke Akintola and Late Pa Mushood Kashimawo Abiola will always ring a bell as they remain the biggest prominent Yoruba and Southwest export to the world who change the face of Nigeria’s political structure and made history during their era. Todays Nigeria politics has taking a new dimension with the emergence of a great man that unite the whole Southwest and gave the region a prominent value.  Lagos is said to be the centre of excellence, commercial capital of West Africa and role model to other states in the federation. All thanks to the great man Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who visualise Greatness In lagos state and raise technocrats to develop and actualize the great vision. Jagaban of Africa as he is widely known has become a household name that shiver timbers to those who consider him political opponents and threat. 



In Todays Nigeria politics we have witness how one man change the face of politics in Nigeria, as he led an opposition party to victory and take over the sit of power from a sitting and ruling president in a general election that was widely considered a free and fair election by the international community which brought the current sitting president to power in 2015. Though many said only one man name "AKANBI OMO OLODO IDE" would have been able to achieve a flawless victory like that, others consider it a fallacy that almost drag his name to the mold politically, as they team up against him to make sure all agreements made before 2015 general election were null and void, refusing him the right to all that were promised by the political party. The second term of president Mohammedu Buhari in 2019, take a new dimension and review all hidden unsaid truth and secret to those who consider 2015 victory for PMB by Asiwaju a fallacy. Many who left the political party for another political party as at that time played a great political tactical games but were all disgraced while those vying for second term lost their second term bidings for political offices. 

These prominent event in 2019 set the records straight, as those who look down on him now idolise him while those who disrespect him now egolize him as their national leader once more.


2023 POWER STRUGGLE

The once smooth journey that is currently seeing division between all those who idolise and egolize him,started when the bid for who will take over from President Mohammedu Buhari in 2023 came onboard, which all fingers point at Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has immerse wealth of political experience, pedigree and the fact that he is from the southern protectorate of Nigeria. The idea of BAT becoming President gradually detolorated into an internal secret crisis between the party leaders as caucuses were being formed and political elites being allied. While majority support the idea of BAT becoming President those against it were being reminded of the agreement informally agreed oppone by the political party in 2014, which state that; the northern protectorate will be allowed to rule for 8years while allowing the Southern protectorate to pick the next president and also allowed to rule for 8years. Though Asiwaju hasn't officially declared his interest and ambition yet for 2023, all signal are already indicating BAT to be the next APC Presidential candidate which is not going well with some prominent leaders from the northern region who are also interested in the sit of presidency and are clamouring for the rejection of such agreement.

BAT CHANCES 


A man like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is what has been in the lips of somany Nigerians and followers today, as somany can't wait for the Jagaban of Africa to be elected come 2023 general election. While some oppose to it, many are already doing pre-campaigning for BAT 2023 and secretly celebrating for the big day ahead come 2023. BAT chances are very high as he has received alot of support recently from prominent leaders from both the northern and southern regions.
